Phoenix Restaurants

Looking for something to eat in Phoenix? Downtown Phoenix restaurants are fun and interesting. Here’s a small collection of some of my current favorites. You can also read more of my in-depth local Phoenix reviews on Yelp.

Eat

Fate
Asian fusion restaurant set in a converted historic home in Central Phoenix. A DJ mixes lounge music while you watch your dinner being prepared in the open kitchen. My favorites are the coconut curry and chow fun.

Coronado Cafe
Another converted historic home in the Coronado neighborhood, most dishes are a southwestern take on old favorites like meatloaf. Great french press coffee and wine selections will keep you lingering after dinner.

Fez
Mediterranean styled dishes and sweet martinis are served in this contemporary restaurant on Central Avenue. I like the Fez burger (with feta and cinnamon pears) and the lamb kisra.

Cibo
Another gorgeous (you guessed it) converted historic home in the Roosevelt neighborhood. Menu is limited to mostly pizza and salad items, but make sure you also try one of the antipasto starters for a fresh selection of olives, fruit, and italian meats and cheeses. The marscapone desert crepe is a great choice for after dinner.
